He proposed to Narad Muni that he ask Parvati’s father for her hand in marriage. But Goddess Parvati’s thoughts were limited to Lord Shiva. She went to her friend for assistance, who took her hostage and concealed her in a forest where she worshiped Lord Shiva and practiced meditation. Goddess Parvati left a lasting impression on Lord Shiva, who thereafter agreed to marry her.

Religious Importance of  Hartalika Teej 2024

• It’s recommended that women and girls take an early morning bath.  
• Women participate in Solah Shringar and dress in red and green.  
• A vow, or Sankalp, ought to be made before beginning the Hartalika Vrat and Puja.  
• In the mandir or temple within the home, place handmade idols of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, and Mata Parvati on a pedestal or an altar.
